The Jamestown S’Klallam Tribal Library has collected a number of oral history interviews and language recordings through the years. Many of these recordings have been digitized and are available online through the House of Seven Generations.
The Oral Histories Collection contains audio and transcripts of interviews done with
Tribal citizens and staff to document family histories and other topics of interest to the
Tribal community. It is our intention to capture memories and historical information directly
from those who remember, or were told by those who were there, about Tribal culture and art,
as well as family histories. We record oral histories as people come forward with an interest
in sharing their stories. If you would like to be interviewed, please contact our
Librarian at library@jamestowntribe.org.
The House of Seven Generations was developed by the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe and made possible by a grant from
the Institute of Museum and Library Services. www.imls.gov
